come in a variety of forms, but all have the goal to move people and goods over a distance.
Systems
are defined as a group of related parts that make up a whole and carry out functions its individual parts cannot.
Can you think of any transportation systems?
Trains, Ships, Cars, Submarines, Airplanes!
Understanding Force

must overcome a variety of
forces
in order to move effectively.
We will be discussing 5 different forces:
Lift, Drag, Gravity,Friction, and Thrust
Forces
are external actions acting on an object to make it move.
Transportation
systems
interact with forces to move passengers and goods.
