In October, Math 8 will be continuing our equations unit. We will take our Unit 2 CSA over VOBs and Solving Equations. In Quarter 2, we will start working on our Exponents unit! We will learn the different rules we have when simplifying exponents.
Classes will finish reading "Flowers for Algernon." Many adults may recall reading this science fiction story when they were in school. It is the story of a man with a mental disability who becomes a genius after an operation.
In Algebra 1, we are working on our Functions & Linear Equations Unit. The test will be broken up into two separate days and parts. After the Unit Test, we will head back to the 8th grade math standard and cover some Geometry! We will move on to more Algebra Standards after the end of the quarter.
College GO Week!!
To celebrate college go week, our advisory classes were able to decorate our doors with a college or career of their choice. The students had a lot of fun designing and planning these doors! Check out the creativity!
Students should always have a charged iPad, as well as their charger, at school each day.
Headphones of any kind are not to be worn in the building unless permitted by the teacher.
Students should keep their phone put away in lockers at all times.
Welcome Fall Weather!
