The House Manager and crew is responsible for the smooth operation of the house (typically both the lobby and audience seating area) during the run of the show. Crew members welcome the public to the theater and oversee their safety and well-being before, during, and immediately after the show. The House Manager will communicate to the stage manager the house is ready to begin. House crew members are also in charge of decorating the lobby to fit the theme of the show that way the audience is brought into the world of the show from the second they walk in.
