U.S. History
Welcome to U.S. History! In this course, we will analyze the past by consistently considering our essential course question: How did Americans attempt to achieve their American Dream? . Students will develop a variety of answers to this question throughout the year, as they learn about American history through lecture, small group work, in-class discussions, primary and secondary source analysis, films, and more. Students will be developing their close reading, persuasive writing, critical thinking, and discussion skills. The goal of this class is to allow students to become independent interpreters of the past, as well as to prepare them to make informed decisions about current events that shape our country’s future. I am excited for a great year ahead!
