Locate your Save to Keep Extension

Look in your menu bar. You should see the Save to Keep extension. When it is in use, it is yellow. When it is not in use, it is gray.

How can I use the Save to Keep Extension?

Open any location - website, Google Doc, YouTube video...
Click on the Save to Keep extension.
A new note is created that includes a link to the location.
Use the Label icon to put the note into any of your pre-set groupings - You can use multiple labels if you want.
Click on the note, then the Title option shows up. Title the note.

Workflow...

You are on a website or video, and are taking notes. You've titled the note and added a label or two.
The next day, you want to return to that website or video. Go to Google Keep and find the note. Use the link on your note to open the website or video again.
Do you want to go directly to the website or video and pick up where you left off? No problem. Go to the website or video, click on the Save to Keep extension, and the note will pop up.

ADD TO KEEP - STUDENT USE FOR RESEARCH & MINI-LESSONS

Create research labels for topics (snow, migration, jellyfish, etc.)
Click on a website Jellyfish Research
Use the Add to Keep extension to create a note with a link to the website that you're using.
You can add multiple tags to the note... #jellyfish #science #research

Here's what it looks like to use Save to Keep extension. Notice that it's best to make the labels first.

Also notice that if you have Save to Keep Extension up, you can highlight something on the page and it'll automatically put the highlighted text in your note. Be sure to have the conversation with students about when you should and shouldn't use this feature!
