This week we wrote about an object that is important to us. We explored the story that the object holds and ways we as writers could tell that story. We created our ideal bookshelf in reading with our top 6 book titles. We also started conversations about our summer reading books and will continue those discussions next week.
We continue to learn about ourselves are readers and writers. This week we talked about our summer reading books on a Jamboard, and learned about proper email etiquette.
This week we have focused on using the distributive property to help us with finding the area of rectangles. We will continue our work on finding the area of figures by looking at not only rectangles but also parallelograms and trapezoids. This will allow us to use our understanding of composing and decomposing figures to support our understanding of how these shapes relate to one another.
