Tricycle
Extremely popular all around the Philippines and a very cheap way to cover short distances, tricycles are available throughout Palawan Province. These motorised tricycles were originally the custom-made combination of a motorbike with a sidecar, but they’re now industrially manufactured due to their success, with some even now using electric motors to save the environment.
Tricycles offer the cheapest way to travel around your destination and one of the best ways to get to the remotest areas, especially in Palawan’s countryside. They’re usually able to transport up to 4 passengers comfortably. Note that even though fares are regulated by the authorities, it’s always best to negotiate the price with the driver before you get on. On average, you can expect to pay 10 pesos per person for a 4-km ride.

Accessible to all streets except Provincial and National Roads
Multicab/Jeepney
The jeepney is the most iconic mode of public transportation in the Philippines. These customised military jeeps can’t be missed due to the vivid colours they are painted in and their reasonable fares have made them one of the most popular methods to get around the main cities, towns and villages in Palawan. They’re priced similar to tricycles, so you can expect to pay 10 pesos per person for the first 4 km, then 0.50 pesos per km after that.

Taxicab
Taxicabs of the Philippines are one of the modes of transportation in the country. They are regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the Land Transportation Office (LTO), and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB). The taxicabs there vary from models and uses. Most taxicabs have yellow colored license plates, taxi signs, LTFRB Registration number, and taximeter, which is mandatory in every cab.

The Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center, also known as the Crocodile Farm and Nature Park, is a popular tourist attraction in Puerto Princesa. The Crocodile Farm is operated and managed by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
Founded initially as Crocodile Farm Institute in 1987 in cooperation with Japan International Cooperative Agency or JICA, its primary objective was to conserve two endangered crocodile species: Crocodilus porosus (freshwater crocs) and Crocodilus mindorensis (saltwater crocs.) Another goal of the institute was to introduce crocodile farming technology to equip our Filipino farmers with an alternative means of livelihood.
However, things didn’t pan out well for the institute. But instead of shutting down its operations, it diverted its focus and direction. Hence, the Crocodile Farm and Nature Park were born.

Neva's Place in Puerto Princesa is a beloved restaurant that holds a special charm. Originally housed in the family's ancestral home, tragedy struck when a fire razed the wooden and bamboo structure to the ground, sparing only the brick pizza oven. Despite this setback, the resilient owners, Jane Timbancaya-Urbanek and her daughter Neva, rallied their team to swiftly rebuild.
Located on Taft Street, nestled between Roxas Avenue and Sandoval, Neva's Place beckons with its inviting atmosphere. The journey to this hidden gem is rewarded with a feast for the senses. Vibrant mural paintings adorn the walls, signaling the resurgence of art in the establishment.
The menu, once limited to pizzas in the aftermath of the fire, has now been fully restored, offering a delectable array of dishes. Signature favorites include the aromatic Lemongrass Chicken and the flavorful Red Chicken Curry, alongside the renowned wood-fired pizzas.

Tiki Resto Bar, located just at the corner of Rizal Avenue and Puerto Princesa North Road, is one of the famous bars in the city. You could see a crowd of locals and travelers in the evening enjoying live band performances and stand-up comedies from groups such as Moranos and Freeplay Band. With the type of entertainment Tiki Resto Bar offers to their guests, it’s a bit amusing to see people just laughing and having drinking spree.
Our group had a short conversation as to why the resto-bar got its name ‘Tiki’. Eli mentioned that there’s a similar bar somewhere and the visiting the restrooms will answer the question. Curious, I looked for answers when I went to the toilet. Restrooms labels are “Titi” (Filipino word for male organ) and “Kiki” (female organ). Uncovering the mystery, I went back to our table laughing and sharing my findings with the group.

"Indulge in the exquisite allure of authentic Vietnamese noodles (Chao Long), a symphony of flavors poised to satisfy every craving and delight every sense."
Open daily: 8:00 am - 9:00 pm
Vietnamese migrants first began arriving in the Philippines after the fall of South Vietnam in 1975. The boat people who arrived in the country were given aid and shelter, unlike other Asian countries where they were persecuted and abused. But when the refugee program ended, the Palawan camp was declared closed in 1996, and the Vietnamese left behind were set for forced repatriation. Nguyen Van Lam, assistant administrator of Viet-Ville says the community, which includes numerous houses, a noodle factory, two French bread bakeries, Catholic and Protestant churches and a Buddhist temple, now has only about 150 residents. Viet-Ville, a small community of Vietnamese refugees in Palawan, has stood as a symbol of local hospitality and tolerance. It has become a tourist attraction, providing a taste of Vietnamese culture and French-Vietnamese cuisine to both local and foreign visitors. But it is now facing a looming crisis: it is running out of Vietnamese.
