Lindsey Henry, M.Ed.

Hello Rooster Readers and Families,

I am thrilled to be starting my 19th year in eduction and my third year as the FLI here at Rooster Springs! Helping students create, make discoveries, and experience all of the amazing stories from children's literature are my favorite parts of teaching, so being a FLI truly is my dream job!

I have been a part of the DSISD family for the past seven years, first as a kindergarten teacher at DSE then CSE and now as the FLI at RSE. I have also taught PreK-3rd grade in other districts around Texas and Pennsylvania. I have my Masters degree in Elementary Education from Texas Tech (Go Red Raiders!) and I earned my Texas School Librarian Certificate from UT!

I am married to my amazing husband, Nick, who is a German & Applied Linguistics professor at UT. We love to travel, cheer on our favorite sports teams, go to concerts, watch TV & movies, and play trivia and board games with our friends and family. 

In 2017, I had the amazing honor of being a contestant in the JEOPARDY! Teachers Tournament alongside fifteen other wonderful educators from across the country!
