Dear Parents,

On behalf of the Administration and the School Board of St. Patrick’s School, we warmly welcome you and your family to the St. Patrick’s School community and commend you on your decision to bestow the invaluable, life-long gift of a Catholic elementary school education upon your child(ren).

For generations, Catholic elementary schools have been fostering academic excellence, and, at the same time, teaching faith and morals, and positively influencing students’ values during their most formative years. St. Patrick’s School has enthusiastically embraced and honored this tradition since 1923 and will continue to do so in the years to come.

The Administration, Faculty, and Staff of St. Patrick’s School are firmly committed to nurturing children academically as well as spiritually. At St. Patrick’s School, our Catholic faith is taught and practiced every day as are the values of honesty, integrity, and generosity. The buildings and grounds of St. Patrick’s School are well-maintained and alive with activities that reflect the School’s commitment to educating the whole person. St. Patrick’s School is extremely proud of its reputation as a Catholic school on the cutting edge and remains committed to keeping pace with the continuing advances in curriculum and technology.

If your child(ren) has an IEP and is receiving any services, please send a letter to the Huntington School District (district of location) to request these services for the 2018-2019 school year by June 1, 2018. If the letter is not received by June 1st your child will not receive services.

Please make an appointment with your doctor to have your child’s annual physical and the second measles shot if they have not already received it. Please return the physical form to the office prior to the first day of school.

Sending your child to St. Patrick’s School indicates that you are making a commitment to Catholic Education. It is inherent in this commitment that parents are actively involved in the Catholic upbringing of their children. This includes bringing their children to Mass and the Sacraments. Also interwoven in this commitment is parental involvement and support of the school supervisory lunch program as well as other school-related activities. All parents whose children are entering in the school year 2018-2019 must attend a Virtus Training class to be allowed to attend any school functions, lunch duty or chaperone class trips. If you have taken a Virtus Training Class and do not already have children in the school, I will need a copy of your certificate.

In order to register your child for the coming school year, we ask that you read all forms, complete and sign the Parental Agreement Signature Page, and return to the School Office along with a check in payment of the non-refundable Tuition Deposit ($300.00 per student in Pre-K through 8th Grade and $250.00 per student in the Nursery School): by April 13, 2018.

Tuition forms and fee schedules are posted on our website in the folder New Registered Families. The necessary forms will be in this folder. All forms must be completed by April 13, 2018, to reserve your child(ren)’s place. If you are not planning on having your child attend St Patrick’s School in the fall, please call the office 631-385-3311 x252 or x253 and tell one of the secretaries by April 13, 2018, as there is a waiting list for certain grades and we would like to afford the opportunity to another family.

The District in which you live will provide bus service. Please go to your district’s administration building to get the forms for transportation. Please make sure you have filled out and returned the Transportation Form by April 1 to the Transportation Department of your district. Your district may refuse you transportation if you have not filed your form on time. Bus routes and schedules will be sent to you in August by your School District.

1. Parental Agreement - This form sets forth the obligations of all St. Patrick’s School parents. Please send in with the Tuition Deposit.

2. FACTSThis form outlines the three tuition payment options presently available. Please complete this form ONLINE. Whether you choose Automated Withdrawal, Credit Card, or Full Payment Plan, you must register in FACTS. All documents must be processed by April 13, 2018.

3. Registration Checklist – Please refer to the check list online to ensure that your registration is complete.
