What is CNC Woodworking?

CNC Woodworking combines traditional woodworking skills with modern technology. 

It utilizes Computer-Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines to cut, carve, and shape wood accurately according to digital designs, 

making complex wooden projects easier to produce, even for those with little woodworking experience.

What will you learn in this course?

In this course, we will cover the basic design and machining principles to help you develop the skills necessary 

to bring your woodworking ideas to life. 

You will learn basic concepts of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and how to operate CNC routers 

using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software.

What will you build?

You will have the option to build a coffee table, bench, stool with a plywood board, 

or a toy car if you prefer! 

You will be provided with a template and you will learn how to customize the design 

and adjust the measurements to your liking.  

Prior CAD/CAM software experience is helpful, but NOT required. 

You will need to bring your own laptop. 

In the course, we will use the Autodesk Fusion for CAM/CAD software. 

Workshop fee: HK$3300

All included: 4x3 hours of teaching and hands on using CNC machine and power tools, all material 

(high quality multiplex board imported from Norway, maple veneer, wood finish,...)

Jon Choi (partly Ulli Drews) will guide you through each tool's usage, providing hands-on demonstrations, 

practical tips, and personalized feedback. 

You will have the opportunity to practice your skills under his expert supervision, 

ensuring that you gain the confidence and competence needed to work with these powerful tools independently.

Each class will have only 3-4 people joining to ensure enough time and opportunity for personal practice and room for individual questions. 

The classes are in English and Cantonese.
