Unit 2 PGAS
I can create a C# program that asks the user for the day of the week and time and then tells the user if the coffee shop is open at that time
I can create a C# program that converts strings to numbers, initalizes and uses the random number generator, performs several class operations, and displays a value in hexadecimal format
I can code a C# program that asks the user for a deck code and number of cards per hand then deals cards.
I can use string varibales on C#.
I can use my prior knowledge redgarding math on C# to complete a program that uses math to produce specific numeric output.
For this station we had to create a constant variable called earbud model number that equals 5
For this station we had to write out a line of code that states an earbuds model and its version.
Unit 1 PGAS: I can...
Describe computer storage and data types
Construct and analyze algorithms and flowcharts to solve programming problems
Incorporate error handling into applications or modules
Construct and analyze code based on functional programming patterns
Pizza Bot
This exercise will will test our ability to declare and initialize primitive variables and use output statements to combine text and data
I can update variable values within a program
I can declare variables & data types
We had to learn to utilize try and catch blocks as well as garbage collection
For this project we had to create a program using the C# language that writes out a list of 5 school supplies
For this assignment we had to create our first program using the C# language
I had to learn the proper syntax for C# and create a main function that writes out the text "Look at me!" when I execute.
For this assignment we were required to choose a computer innovation that utilizes concepts we talked about in class such as heaps and stacks
I chose the CPU as my computer part because the CPU is a crucial innovation for computers as it's considered the brain of the computer
Additionally the CPU uses concepts we've discused in class like heaps and stacks to store memory for the computer
For this project we had to write out a set of code that can convert different units of time. For example my code can convert 1 hour into minutes and 1 minute into seconds
For this activity we had to pull up this set of code and preview the webpage that displays a message that says special sale this weekend.
In this activity we used jnoodle to pull up this set of code and I added the keywords async and await and made these tasks asynchronous.
In this activity for our choiceboard we were given a deck of cards. There's a set of conditions on the worksheet and me and my partner pulled random cards from the deck and saw if the cards met the condition. It's similar to a boolean because we said if it was true or false that the card met the condition.
In this CodeHS assignment I was given a chart displaying gas price trends from January 2018 to December 2024. I was asked to notice trends in the gas price. I noticed that the price fluctuates as 2022 saw a significanty raise in gas prices while 2019 and 2022 saw decreases.
For this section in my performance task, I had to list ways to narrow down different project ideas. I also listed list and function oppourtunities for the ideas.
For this section in my performane task survival guide I had to figure out what the result of the calls in this function would be.
For this assignment we had to answer questions on censorship on the internet. I believe censhorship is appropriate if there is content that breaks the law,
For this CodeHS assignment I had to reflect on how the internet has changed my life personally and how it's changed the world.
Cubism breaks down objects into geometric forms and reassembles them in an abstract way.
I drew an abstract face.
Cubism changed the way my object looked by making me add three dimensional shapes.
The cube was the easiest to use because it's simle to draw, the pyramid was the hardest because I couldn't find a place for it initally.
Geometry makes me notice more shapes in art.
This is my completed task for the CodeHS Alleles including the percent of dominant genes included. You can see each step in the finished product.
For this codeHS assignment we had to make it so you could input actual letters for the alleles for the numbers.
2/12/25 AP CSP CodeHS: Alle Value Placement
For this codeHS assignment we had to input code that would place the numbers #1, #2, #3, and #4 next to the boxes.
2/12/25 AP CSP Homework
This is the homework Ms Mangham assigned for us to review.

This is the homework Ms Mangham assigned for us to review.
2/6/25 Chemvas
We used the combusted flame to blacken the spoon. It worked because we used the flame to burn the spoon and blacken it. What didn't work is I accidently got some wax on our spoon which affected how well we were able to get the soot off of the spoon.
2/4/25 Augusta Savage Art Criticism
Augusta Savage is an acclaimed sculptor. Her sculptings are made out of a variety of materials such as wood and bronze, they often feature African American people. A principle of design that Savage uses in her work is proportion; in her sculpture with the harp, the boy who is sitting down is proportinate to the harp. An element of art that she uses in her sculptures is shapes because she has to properly shape the material to make a sculpture. Her work often features African American people and has themes of race. I think that Augsta Savage makes quality art because her sculptures are aesthetically pleasing and have strong themes.
In this codeHS assignment we had to add on to the code so it would ask for alleles then display them next to the chart.
In this station we visited a website where we answered questions about things like loans and how how to budget for a movie.
In this gimkit we answered questions about tuples and lists.
This gimkit asked us various questions about things we've learned in Computer Science.
For this assignment I asked the user to input 5 numbers. I then displayed a list of the 5 numbers and added all 5 of the numbers together.
For this assignment we had to simulate a coin flip that has 50/50 odds of being heads or tails.
For this assignment we had to formulate a hypothesis based on the bridge simulator where we had to create a bridge design to support different weights. My hypothesis was if I build a bridge support using a series of diamond shapes with a triangular support above the bridge will be able to hold 2400 kg.
Art-1/25/25-Paper-making
How does chemistry relate to paper-making? How could hand-made paper be an art form?
Chemistry relates to paper-making because in order to make paper you have to combine multiple elements almost like making a compound in science. For example, in order to make the paper we had to combine cut pieces of different paper with water in a blender. Hand-made paper can be an art form because it allows people to combine unique colors and textures to make paper.

1/14/25-Art-FuBaoshi
This painting is based off the Chinese Fu Baoshi style. I start off by inking the brush and mainly painting the bottom section of the paper, once the brush starts to dry, I move to the middle areas. Once the brush is completley dry, I wet the brush and paint the top to make it look like mist above the mountains.
ELA- 1/14
Today during class I did my 15 minutes of membean then completed the no red ink pre-test. The pre-test was on vague words in claims and we had to figure out whether the sample thesis statements were fact or opinion.
1/8/25-Art-Dr. Kurt Weaving Bonds
For our weaving bonds we choose to represent ionic bonds. Ionic bonds means for opposites to attract. For our weaving bonds we choose the colors purple and yellow, and blue and orange respectively; because they represent opposite colors on the color wheel. Our work connects with weaving because we had to weave the two papers together; it connects to bonding because the papers represent atom bonds.

During this project I had to create a website about global citizenship with my group. On our website we had to create our own definition of a global citizen is and create an infographic about a problem in Latin America. Additionally, we had to provide a resource in Spanish where we can learn more about our issue then reflect on the project as a whole in a video. From this expierence I learned that homelessness in Latin America is more potent and detrimental than I had initally thought, espcially in countries like Colombia.

De esta expierienca apprendemos que falta de casas en America Latina es muy frecuente especialmente en Colombia.
1/7/24 Wynn
Today in class we started and completed our slides on our PBL Food for though recipe. I completed the slides where we answer what identity is and the who, what, when, and where for the book Persepolis.
Dr. Garner CER
Cultural and historices contexts have shaped scientific discoveries in making the periodic table. Back when the periodic table was being discovered, most scientific communites were made up of white european males meaning other groups of people were sidelined and under represented in the scientific community. Despite the fact contributions were often made to chemistry from colonized regions, however these contributions often went unrecognized. Racial biases in the scientific communty affected the development of chemistry in colonized communities due to non-European discoveries often going unrecognized. The affects of racism from the time in the scientific community are still showing today.
Dr. Garner Bohr Model Project
In this project we had to create a bohr model which is a model that represents the atom of an element. In mine you can see the protons and neutrons of the atom inside the nucleus as well as the electron rings outside of the nucleus and the electrons on them.
Dr. Garner Element Art Project
In this project we choose an element from the periodic table then had to create a drawing that's related to our element. I choose Osmium as my element so my drawing displays a pacemaker which is a machine made from osmium which helps control the tempo of the heart.
Dr. Garner Text Message Project
In this project we had to create a text message conversation used the text template which is related to the periodic table. I decided to have the conversation be between two world class scientists named Peter and John. In this conversation they're debating over how the periodic table should be organized.
Dr. Garner Bubble Lab
The objective of this lab was to see how large of a bubble we produced with different brands of soap. We poured some of the soap on a table then blew on it with a straw to create a bubble.
Dr. Garner Airplane Lab
The objective of this lab was to record the distances traveled by the airplanes and to see how the paper clips affected the distance traveled by the airplanes. Our results was that as we increased the mass of the paper airplanes with paper clips, the distance traveled decreased.
Art-9/24/24 Mandala Research
Mandalas are used as artistic representations of Buddhist beliefs. Mandalas are related to world civilizations as in they're used as mediditative tools and spiritual excersizes in Buddhist societies. A principle of design that I notice is emphasis being put on the center of the mandala. You can use a mandala to show an atom by desigining it in the shape and color of an atom.

What is Art to Me
To me, art is a form of self expression. I think that art is a way to express your ideas, thoughts or emotions through a physical or digital medium. My favorite kind of art is art that provokes thought and emotion that sticks with you. I believe subjects like history can be art because in history we often learn about past civilizations through artistic descriptions. An example of this would be portraits of important people prior to working cameras that help us get an idea of what they look like such as George Washington and Vincent Van Gogh.
