Today two people who worked with Dad's Garage came to talk to us. They taught us how to properly improvise on the spot. We went through several activites to help us improve on our improv. We need these skills in case we forget our lines, or one of our group members improvs off of us.
Today a resident writer, Mr. John Doyle, came to our class to teach us how to properly write a script. He taught us the three stages of a story, exposition, climax, and resolution. Mr. Doyle also taught us how to convey feelings in your script, and how to add movement so it looks more dynamic.
G.R.A.P.E.S Research
For this assignment we were tasked with researching about our ancient civilization. We researched about their government, religion, achievements, politics, economy, and social life. This gave us more insight into our civilization and helped us pick the story that we acted out.
Short Film
This was our final submission for this project. We used the plot diagram and script, along with props and costumes to make a realistic story. We made sure the narrator accutarely explained what was in the scene, and the setting was somewhat relvant to the scene. We had 5 scenes in total and the film ran for about 5:30. I played the main character, Alexander The Great, and I had a lot of fun filming. Shoutout Jayla, Amersha, Lauren, and Habib for being my teammates in this project.
