During the summer of 2024, I was a counselor at Camp at Drew, where I mainly helped care for younger children around the ages of 5 to 6. I volunteered for two weeks, from June 10th to June 21st. I had a wonderful experience volunteering here. I accumulated around 77-78 community service hours from volunteering.
During the school year, I volunteered at the Elementary Academy by reading books to kindergarten classes, usually once a month from October to May. I participated in the Book Buddies program from 2023 to 2025. I have accumulated 9 service hours from the book buddies program.
On March 1st, 2025, my mom and I volunteered for three hours to support my sister, a Girl Scout, in selling girl scout cookies at Kroger.
On April 5th, 2024, my family, several other volunteers, and I volunteered at the Atlanta Community Food Bank. We spent about three hours packaging food for families facing food insecurity. By the end of our shift, we had helped provide approximately 20,493 pounds of food — enough for around 17,077 meals.
