In health class, we learned about the crucial role mental health plays in overall well-being, affecting physical health, relationships, and quality of life. To demonstrate our understanding, we created infographics on various mental health disorders; I focused on bipolar disorder. My infographic outlined the types, symptoms, causes, and treatment options for bipolar disorder, emphasizing the importance of support systems and reducing stigma. This project helped distill complex information into an accessible format, fostering awareness and compassion. Sharing our infographics aimed to promote a more informed and supportive school community regarding mental health.

Our teacher explained how advertisements can influence our choices and perceptions through various methods, such as television commercials, social media ads, print ads, and product placements. To apply this knowledge, we were assigned to create a project that showcased these different forms of advertising.

To share my experience, I created videos featuring "Good Days" by SZA and "By Tomorrow" by Hunxho. "Good Days" helps me focus on the present and find beauty in everyday moments, promoting hope and mindfulness. "By Tomorrow" inspires perseverance and optimism, motivating me to set goals and believe in a brighter future. Through these videos, I aim to show how music can enhance mental health and encourage others to find their own sources of inspiration.

Sexual education classes covered sexual orientation and protection concisely. We learned about diverse sexual orientations, promoting inclusivity and respect. Practical demonstrations on birth control methods and safe sex practices were provided. These classes equipped us with knowledge to make informed decisions about sexual health.
During a session on health a Morehouse medicine guest speaker mentioned topics including hives and AIDS, emphasizing the importance of prevention. They showcased condoms and discussed abstinence as effective means of protection against sexually transmitted infections. As an active participant, I engaged in discussions and asked questions, contributing to the interactive learning experience. As a token of appreciation for my involvement, I was awarded $40, which further encouraged my participation in future educational sessions.
