For my geometry class, we were given an assignment to make a poster using a cube to bring awareness to a "food for thought" issue. I decided to make mine about food obesity because it’s a serious problem that affects a lot of people. I designed my cube with each side showing different facts, causes, and effects of obesity, like how unhealthy eating habits and lack of exercise contribute to it. I also included tips for healthy living and visuals to help get the message across. It was a creative way to connect math and real-world issues, and I liked being able to use geometry to raise awareness about something important
For my geometry class, we had to create a piece of art using different geometric shapes like cylinders, pyramids, spheres, and cubes. I decided to use those shapes to design a person. I used a cylinder for the body, spheres for the head and joints, pyramids for the feet, and cubes for the hands. Each shape had to be measured and placed correctly, so it helped me understand how geometry is used in real-life design. It was fun to be creative while still applying math skills, and it showed me how shapes can come together to make something cool and meaningful.
