As part of our "Shaping Our World" PBL we were assigned to create a poster to advertise our upcoming showcase. The theme was ancient civilizations. I designed my poster with an old-time look to match the theme, and I included important details like the time and date of the event. My goal was to capture the feeling of ancient times while giving clear information to attract people to our showcase.
For our "Shaping Our World" PBL project, my group created a video about the Indus River Valley civilization. In the video, we explored different aspects of the civilization, including its religion, culture, and appearance. We also showed our interpretation of how the civilization may have ended—through a major flood. This project helped us better understand the daily life and possible downfall of one of the world's earliest civilizations.
As part of our "Shaping Our World" PBL project, my group created a plot map to plan our video about the Indus River Valley civilization. We mapped out the story’s structure, including the rising action, climax, and falling action. We also developed the characters, plot, and setting to help guide our video. This planning step helped us stay organized and tell the story of the Indus River Valley in a creative and meaningful way.
While reading Persepolis in World Literature, we learned about the Iranian Revolution and its impact on society. As a group, we created a slideshow explaining what life was like in Iran before the revolution. Our presentation covered key aspects such as schools, government, family life, and religion. This project helped us better understand the background of the story and how society changed during that time.
