Today in art class we made ink. The chemistry process behind making the ink was combustion.We made soot which then we used to turn into ink.The soot was carbon from the spoon when we put the fire on the spoon.This is used in art for drawing,writing ect.My ink was not successful.Unfortunately, my spoon hit the hot wax which made the soot on the spoon stick.

In art class today we made paper.Chemristy relates to paper making by facilitating the breaksown of wood pulp into individual cellulos fibers through chemical processes.Handmade paper could be an art form becuase it is used for sculputral fashion or manipulated to form shapes and images.

In art class, we continued to learn about weaving bond.Today we did weavings bonds on cardboard with yarn.The process of this was getting the cardboard and sliding yarn through it with a penicil weather it was the under and over method or the under and over method.

In art class we learned about the Fu Bashoi Style Chinese Painting.The method of this painting was using very little dye on the brush.Once the dye dried out of the brush we kept on using it till theres no more ink on the brush.

In art class we made dye to put cloths in.This was relates to the Ph active and the alkaline elements.The dyes we used were Ph active and the baking soda is alkaline making it that the color in the cloth wont wash out.We also made the dye out of fruits and veggies.

An Ionic bond is a bond that represents that opposites attract.A covalent bond shares an electron/strand.For the paper we demonstrated an ionic bond.Me and my partner did opposites color since opposite attract for ionic bonds.

How might cultural and historical contexts have shaped scientific discoveries in making the periodic table?
2 things that might have shaped the cultural and historical contexts of scientific discoveries of the periodic table is the gender and people influence by Dmitri Mendeleev. First, even though Dmitri Mendeleev was the first to be credited with making the periodic table, he inspired others to continue his work and make different theories on the Periodic Law and Atomic Theory. This shaped the historical contexts of the periodic table. The second way I think that has shaped the cultural and historical context of scientific discoveries of the periodic table is the gender. All the makers and credited people who formulated the periodic table are all men.I believe this had a cultural problem becuase women weren't able to make these discoveries which was a problem in the cultural diversity. Also, women could have helped in a positive way adding to the discovery of the periodic table and how it was formulating.
