My 9th grade year was definitely a new and unexpected experience. I had certain ideas about what high school would be like, but the reality was different. It took some time to adjust, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it might be. There were challenges along the way, but I did my best to push through them.
I made new friends, learned life lessons, and went through personal ups and downs. Even with the hard moments, there were also a lot of good ones—laughing with friends, spending time with family, and discovering new things about myself. I started to figure out who I am and what I care about, which felt really important.
Overall, 9th grade helped me grow. It wasn’t always easy, but it was worth it. I’m taking everything I learned with me into 10th grade and continuing to find my path.
