Drew has always felt more like a community than a typical high school. It’s small, personal, and the relationships between students and teachers are really strong. I’ve only ever attended Drew, so I don’t have first hand experience with other schools but from what I’ve heard from friends who left, Drew isn’t what most people imagine when they think of high school. There aren’t big sports games or huge social scenes. It’s quieter and more focused on individuality.
I didn’t really choose Drew at first it was more of a family decision but over time, I found my place here. I’ve had some great moments, made real friendships, and learned a lot about myself. The environment here helped shape me into who I am, and I’m grateful for that.
That said, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve started to feel like I’ve outgrown parts of it. I’m ready for something new—new people, new energy, and a different kind of challenge. Still, Drew will always be a part of me. It helped me grow, and now I’m ready to keep growing somewhere else.
