In Algebra I, we focused on learning about linear functions and statistics and how they are used in real life.
We had to host a birthday party that was cost effective. We had to present 2 venues and include the initial fee and hourly cost. Then, we compared the linear situations and presented them in an advertisement style.
I created a research question (Does age affect the number of video games you have?) and made a google forum to collect and analyze quantitative data. The amount of responses needed were 20. Two questions were asked: the age of the participant and the number of video games they owned at the time. Since the respondents were people in my grade, the ages were too close together to tell if age affected the amount of video games owned. If I were to redo this experiment, I would've asked people outside of my grades to account for younger people.
