For this final project, we made artworks inspired by an artist of our choosing. I chose a polish dystopian surrealist artist named Zdzisław Beksiński.
I chose this artist because I’ve always had an art style that focuses on more ‘dreary’ things, usually using very bold lines. Zdzisław Beksiński also has a dreary art style that features dystopian surrealism. Some editing decisions I made while working were adding the giant imposing pair of hands with sand or soil pouring out. This was not in the original draft or prototype, but it was inspired by the thought of liquid flowing past the stairs, which was inspired by a reflection of the stairs in water which is seen in the prototype.
For my semester performance task, I chose to create a BMI Calculator that would record the BMI and BMI category of 5 people. When run, it asks for the weight in kg and height in meters, and gives the BMI and category, as well as the current list of people already recorded. The performance task also makes heavy use of if/else statements and utilizes nested lists to keep track of results until it prints out the results in a clean format after all 5 people's BMI has been calculated.

This project involved using Snap! to create a game. Snap! is a block based coding platform, so understanding sequencing is imperative to making a functional game. I took a little creative freedom when creating this game, and made multiple short-lived ghosts instead of one, and frequently spawning candy instead of just five. In the game, you need to weave between ghosts that spawn to gather candy. These ghosts have tracking but will lose it upon a certain amount of time passes, and instead gain a small amount of speed and charge until it hits a wall.

For this assignment, we were given a South American country to make 2 recipes of 2 different cuisines from the given country. My country was El Salvador and I chose the Sopa de Pata and the Platanos Maduras Fritos. I practiced my linguistic skills by using command form, making me need to use conjugations for some action words.
In this small project, we were made to make a bohr model of an element on a plate.
In this project, we were put with a partner and made to spin a wheel to decide what south American country we'd make slides about. The slides were slides that tried to encourage people to want to vote it over other countries if there was a vote to be held about which south American country we'd go to. In our slides, we had to include flight costs, hotel options, a packing list, recommended attractions, and suggested restaurants.
In this project, we were given an ancient civilization to learn and make a film about. My group's civilization was Ancient Rome, and I was the cameraman in the project. It took a long time to do, but we ended up making an okay film in the end. The film consisted of 3 scenes, each about 40 seconds long.
For this assignment, we had to make an image using an art making website that showed that we were experienced in Linear Perspective, Atmospheric Perspective, and generally the tools we were using as a whole. Our projects had to be based off of a random element on the periodic table. I got Ruthenium so I made the picture in the mountains, which is where Ruthenium can be found.
