HEALTH/ PERSONAL FITNESS
COACH TATE
In Health class with Coach Tate, we learned a lot about the different kinds of mental illnesses. With using the information that we gathered from learning about the types, we were assigned a project where Coach Tate gave us a specific kind of mental illness and make a video about what we think this specific illness would look like. For my project, my group and I were assigned Panic Disorder and Post Traumatic Disorder.
Before this assignment was given to us, we were able to be taught about the 10 most common types of appeals which would be Brand Loyalty, Testimonial, Sex Appeal, Reward, Progress, Scientific Evidence, Glittering Generality, Humor Appeal, Bandwagon Appeal, and False Image Appeal. For this assignment, we were able to work with a partner to use our knowledge about what we learned on appeals, and list examples of those appeals.
For second semester, I was transitioned into a personal fitness class. In this class we learned more about exercising and how to exercise beneficially. For one of my assignments in this class, we used the different kinds of warm up exercise and made up our own student led warm up with our group.

Along with our Mental Illness PSA video, we were assigned a specific type mental illness with our group and try to make an informational poster about our mental illness regarding what it is, the statistics, the signs and the symptoms, and a help message to help others with this disorder. My mental illness was Panic Disorder and Post Traumatic Disorder.

This project was our official final in AP human geography class. For this final we were to chose a song, either one he gave us or we could pick any song and get it approved by Mr.Bennett. With the song, we were to chose a topic in any of the units and make a music video about that specific topic. For this project, my group and I chose the topic 'Push and Pull Factors.'
In a hexagonal thinking, you connect terms and ideas through the sides of a hexagon. In this assignment we were given specific terms and try to connect them if they are related to each other in any type of way or form, and write about which ones you put together and why you put them together.
This is an assignment where we were put into groups to discuss the difference between force and involuntary migration . Forced migration is when people migrate due to their own choices while involuntary migration is when people migrate for survival and fears.

This assignment is my Genius Hour. Genius Hour is a project in the classroom, where students are allowed to explore their own passions and keep on track with it. For my genius hour, I chose to be a digital personal stylist , where I style some of my friends ,teachers, and family based on where they wanna go, what colors they want to wear, what type of clothing they want to wear, and much more.
This assignment is my Escape Room. This is 1 out of 3 of my escape rooms that my partner Krista and I made. This escape room is made specifically for items you could find in the sky. Using the escape room , students in our class were ask to answer questions on a google form we made for them.

A dichotomous key is a scientific tool used to identify and categorize different organisms or objects based on a series of choices that lead to that answer. For an assignment for Biology class, we had to make our own dichotomous key for students and teachers in our class to test out.
For Biology class, we had a project due where we conducted research on a bioethical question, took notes on the information we gathered and make an argument about if one of the bioethics that we chose was right or wrong in our society, and give evidence to back up our claim. In class, our first book we read was 'Lord Of The Flies'. This assignment was made for us to quiz our survival skills and how well we are o surviving on an island, which connects to 'Lord Of The Flies ' since the book is based off of survival.
In ELA, we learned a lot about different types of essays. One of many types we learned was an argumentative essay, where we chose a common argument in our society and write our opinion on it using evidence and examples that we gathered from a text. For this assignment we had to answer a question based off 'If external or internal conflict would be detrimental to the survive'
A Raisin In The Sun is another book we read in ELA class. In the assignment, we had to chose a character in the book who the point of view in the assignment would be in and another character in the book who we would be talking to or writing to with the critical topic that we chose. For this assignment, I chose Beneatha who is talking to her brother Walter about what she wants to in life and his opinion can not change that.
Romeo and Juliet is another book we read by the author William Shakespeare. For this assignment, we had to chose at least 5 scenes that are appropriate,important and find a sing that would match the scene. For example, I chose the scene in the very beginning were the Capulets and the Montagues are fighting in the street and used the song 'Eye Of The Tiger', because this song is often used when characters are fighting in movies.
With reading Romeo and Juliet, we often had assignments where we would read different acts and scenes in the book and answer comprehensice questions using the book as evidence. This is an example of one of my acts/scenes writing assignments.
