Artistic Idol Project
The artist that I chose is Robert Delaunay. I chose him because I love how he emphasizes bold colors, and uses abstraction of landscapes. Delaunay’s depictions of the Eiffel Tower inspired my reinterpretation, where instead of the Eiffel Tower, I replaced it with the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Robert Delaunay was from Paris, France, and I’m from Atlanta, GA. The painting preserves Delaunay’s visual language through the use of rhythmic, concentric forms and vibrant color contrasts, creating a sense of energy and motion throughout the cityscape. During the editing process, I deliberately added swirling, abstract clouds reminiscent of Delaunay’s cosmic motifs to unify the composition and emphasize the emotional vibrancy of the skyline. These decisions were made to evoke both the architectural majesty of the stadium and the pulsing vitality of its urban surroundings.

A conflict that is very important to me is police brutality because everyone deserves to be treated fairly and with respect. When police officers abuse their power, it can lead to innocent people being hurt or even killed. This is wrong and unfair. Standing up against this injustice is important, even if it means putting myself in danger. Change cannot happen if people remain silent. By risking my safety, I would be showing that I am willing to fight for what is right and defend those who cannot protect themselves. I would also put my life on the line because no one should have to live in fear of the people who are supposed to protect them. Police brutality damages trust in the community and causes pain for families. By standing up, I would be helping to demand accountability and push for better laws and training for police officers. Even though it is risky, fighting for justice is worth it because it could lead to a safer and fairer society for everyone.
