The Parker Memorial Library has a new director with a familiar face! Taylor Dodge has been recently appointed as the Library Director after serving as the Assistant Director for six months. Stop by and say hello!

The official 2026 Information for Voters booklets are here! There are nine questions on the ballot this year so be sure to stop by the library for your booklet to read each proposed law, summaries, and arguments both for and against. Available in large print and multiple languages. Located on the first floor of the library.

MassHire Mobile Career Center - The bilingual career counselor on site will be able to assist jobseekers with registering to become a member of the MassHire Career Centers; triage what a job seeker needs, provide information and referrals to obtain the assistance, and more! Silent Book Club - At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook. No registration required - drop in! Monday, October 5th @ 6:30pm in the Old Building.
Beyond Cozy Book Club - We read a mix of light & popular fiction and books just a little beyond our comfort zone. New members are always welcome. Tuesday, October 6th @ 6:30pm in the Old Building. No registration required - drop in!
Non-Fiction Book Club - Our Non-Fiction Book Club meets on the 1st Wednesday of the month, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. This is a virtual program via Zoom. New members are always welcome. Wednesday, October 7th @ 6:30pm on Zoom. Email askus@dracutlibrary.org for Zoom link.

Speculative Fiction Book Club - The Speculative Fiction Book Club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. We'll be reading a wide selection of SciFi, Fantasy, Dystopian and otherwise fantastical works. Wednesday, October 21st @ 6:30pm in the Meeting Room. No registration required - drop in!
Wednesday Afternoon Book Club - This fiction and nonfiction book group meets on the last Wednesday of the month, from 1:30pm to 2:30pm. New members are always welcome. Upcoming Teen Programs
Spooky Photo Contest - Fall has arrived and that means we want to see your spookiest photos. Eerie fog, moonlit nights, creepy costumes. Email your entries to askus@dracutlibrary.org for a chance to be featured in our art and literary zine as well as win a gift card! Enter submissions all October long!
Scary Story & Poetry Contest - Fall is your chance to scare us with your scariest stories! Witches, ghosts, monsters, nightmares, we are looking for it all! Submit your original writing and/or poetry for a chance to be published on our website and to win a gift card! Email your submission to askus@dracutlibrary.org. Enter submissions all October long!
Pumpkin Painting Contest - Paint your pumpkin and bring it to the second floor of the library to enter this contest! Drop off your pumpkins on 10/16 & 10/17, then be sure to stop by the library to vote for your favorites between 10/19 - 10/24! Winner will be announced 10/26! Ages 12+
New England Ghosts - Get ready for the spooky season by learning about some of New England's very own ghosts! Jonah Knight will share a ghost story from each New England state in this engaging and interactive program. He'll also give advice on how to visit each location. Come, if you dare! Chess Club - Interested in chess? Looking to improve your skills through playing and to meet new people? Join us at the library for chess club! Chess sets will be provided but participants are encouraged to also bring their own if they'd like. Club meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Wednesday, October 14th @ 6:00pm in the Old Building.
