Important Dates
State Primary Election - Tuesday, September 1st - The Library is the polling place for Dracut precincts 4 and 8.
Labor Day - Monday, September 7th - the library will be CLOSED.
Meeting of the Board of Library Trustees: Wednesday, Sept 9th @ 4:00pm in the Director's office on the second floor. Open meeting.
Meeting of the Friends of the Dracut Library: Tuesday, September 15th @ 6:30pm in the Meeting Room or on Zoom.
Summer Hours are over! We're open on Saturdays from 8:30am-4:30pm beginning September 12th.

Adult Craft Night - Dried Flower Embroidery Hoop (in person craft) Join us in making this lovely dried flower arrangement. Wednesday, September 9th @ 6:00pm. MassHire Mobile Career Center - The bilingual career counselor on site will be able to assist jobseekers with registering to become a member of the MassHire Career Centers; triage what a job seeker needs, provide information and referrals to obtain the assistance, and more! Honeybees: Little Creatures, Big Impact - Honey bees may be small, but their impact is enormous. Kathy Balestrier from The Colony in Tyngsborough, MA will be here to talk all about our friends, the honeybees. Monday, September 21st at 6:30pm. Dracut Cultural Council Informational Event - The Massachusetts Cultural Council works to elevate our rich cultural life in Massachusetts. They partner with the Town of Dracut to expand access, improve education, promote diversity and encourage excellence in the arts, humanities, and sciences. Meet with members of the Dracut Cultural Council and learn how to apply. Wednesday, September 30th @ 5:30pm. No registration required.

Dracut Library Knitters - Join us whether you knit, crochet, or do another form of needlework. All skill levels welcome. Every Thursday @ 2:00pm in the Old Building. No registration required.
Fantastic Fibers - Do you knit? Crochet? Cross-stitch? Embroider? Join our weekend group for fiber artists to get together and share tips, techniques, and conversation! Every Saturday @ 10:00am in the Old Building. Open to anyone interested in any fiber art technique. No registration required.
Upcoming Adult Book Clubs
Silent Book Club - At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook. No registration required - drop in! No meeting this month - see you in October!
Beyond Cozy Book Club - We read a mix of light & popular fiction and books just a little beyond our comfort zone. New members are always welcome. Tuesday, September 1st @ 6:30pm in the Old Building. No registration required - drop in!
Non-Fiction Book Club - Our Non-Fiction Book Club meets on the 1st Wednesday of the month, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. This is a virtual program via Zoom. New members are always welcome. Wednesday, September 2nd @ 6:30pm on Zoom. Email askus@dracutlibrary.org for Zoom link.

Speculative Fiction Book Club - The Speculative Fiction Book Club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. We'll be reading a wide selection of SciFi, Fantasy, Dystopian and otherwise fantastical works. Wednesday, September 16th @ 6:30pm in the Meeting Room. No registration required - drop in!
Wednesday Afternoon Book Club - This fiction and nonfiction book group meets on the last Wednesday of the month, from 1:30pm to 2:30pm. New members are always welcome. Friend's Corner
The Friends are back and working harder than ever for the Dracut Library! Two Ed Sheeran tickets are being raffled off for the September 25th concert! Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Must be 18+ and have access to a Ticketmaster account to win. The show is Friday, September 25th at Gillette Stadium. Stop by the library today for your chance to win!
