The National Archives site focuses on all things concerning United States history. It provides a search option that allows you to search for specific topics; you can also find images of primary documents along with their transcriptions.

The United States Courts site is a comprehensive site dealing with all things related to U.S. courts. One can search for specific cases and rulings, learn about court structure and protocol, and access a plethora of other data related to U.S. courts.

Click on the image below to access the Mas Ultra database. You will need the Galileo password to access it. Once you have signed in, you will need to find the Mas Ultra database via the databases. This site is not specific to a given subject, so you can use it for a range of subjects.

To use Google Scholar you simply type in what you are looking for, and you will see a list of results. The difference with Google Scholar is that your list of results will not contain websites trying to sell you a cell phone or articles about how to dress your dog for the holidays.
Google Scholar will produce a list of journal articles, pdfs, and websites focusing on much more credible and scholarly sources appropriate for a research paper.
