Hello everyone, My name is Dr. Murrill. This is my 23rd year teaching at Githens Middle School (32 years teaching in total).  I have B.S. degrees in Math and Computer Science and Masters Degrees in Divinity, Education (and Supervisor). Additionally, I am certified in Curriculum and Instruction at the Master’s level. My Doctorate is in Clinical Pastor Counseling and I have been blessed to serve as a Pastor for the past 29 years. I am ESL (English as a Second Language) certified - NCSU, Duke A.I.G. certified, DPS Mentor Certified and I have my K-12, Principal’s Administrative Certification as well. I am excited to share my love of mathematics with you and to help instill a lifelong ability to problem solve. I personally enjoy new experiences and I am always seeking an opportunity to learn more. Each year, I challenge myself to experience a "new". This exposure drives me to live life to the fullest, a life without regrets. After all, regrets are only what you didn’t have the courage to try. I want this to directly correlate in my classroom.  There is no problem that we do not have the courage to try. I am looking forward to a year full of growth and learning, both for my students and myself!
