Dress Code

What you SHOULD wear:

  • Solid blue, black, tan, or gray jeans.
  • Tan, black, or navy khaki material shorts, pants, jumpers, and skirts. Skirts, jumpers, and shorts must have a hemline no shorter than “a credit card length” above the knee.
  • Solid black or white crewneck t-shirt, polo or collared shirts with sleeves. Students may also use Skinner logoed shirts. Undershirts must be white or the same colour as the outer shirt.
  • Sweaters and sweatshirts without hoods. No hoodies or garment with hoods are allowed. All sweatshirts or hoodies must be white, black, or Skinner logoed shirts.
  • Skinner Sponsored Club Shirt Wednesdays- Skinner students are allowed to wear Skinner affiliated shirts which don't follow Skinner's typical code colors (team shirts, drama shirts, etc.)
  • College Logo Fridays- On Fridays, Skinner Scholars are allowed to wear shirts displaying college logos. Hats and hoodies are still not permitted.


What you SHOULD NOT wear:

  • Pants/shorts with holes and/or shreds, leggings, or sagging pants
  • Shirts can’t be worn inside out. No logos other than Skinner logo should be visible.
  • Sleeveless tops or tank top’s are not allowed.
  • No scoop-neck or v-necks that touch the collar bone aren’t permitted. No sheer, netted or lace shirts are permitted either.
  • The PE uniform (You can only wear this in gym class)

If dress code rules are repeatedly broken, it will NOT be tolerated. After a fair warning, the Student Adviser or Administrator may assign you ASI (After School Intervention) for violating the dress code policy. If you are purposely out of dress code, you will be sent immediately to the Student Administrator's office. Parents will be contacted to bring the appropriate items for you to change into.

DPS DRESS CODE DAYS

  • No sagging, No holes or shreds
  • No leggings
  • Scoop-necks and V-neck shirts that do not touch the collar bone are not permitted.
  • No sheer, netted or lace shirts are permitted
  • No hoodies, zipper sweaters or jackets
  • No hats worn inside the building

DPS dress code day must still be school appropriate and in accordance with DPS policy.
