SEL lessons and emotion Check-ins across grades

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) takes center stage at our school, seamlessly woven into tailored lesson plans designed for diverse age groups. Our curriculum prioritizes the cultivation of self and social awareness, guiding students to recognize emotions and appreciate diverse perspectives.

Through regular check-ins, students have a platform to express their feelings, allowing us to address their individual needs effectively.

By engaging in reflective practices and exploring various responses, students develop a deep understanding of diversity, learn to navigate biases and foster resilience and a growth mindset. This empowers them to approach challenges with mindfulness and confidence.

Periodic self-assessments provide students with insights into their growth journey. 

 Our commitment to ongoing emotional data analysis ensures the effectiveness and transparency of our approach, allowing us to continuously refine and enhance the SEL experience for our students.

           Workshops for teachers and parents

We empower students, teachers, and parents through educational workshops, equipping them with the tools and strategies to support student wellbeing and cultivate a nurturing environment.

Parents were sensitized about sustainable choices along with honing social-emotional skills. 


Building Bridges to Emotional Wellbeing Insights from Survey Results 

The workshop aimed to provide parents with a clear understanding of the emotional landscape of our school community and identify areas for growth and support. They were apprised of the findings gathered from regular emotional surveys conducted with the students.

The reasons behind students' discomfort and negative emotions were openly discussed with parents, and conversations on how parents can play an active role in supporting their children's emotional wellbeing were initiated. They were encouraged to actively address emotions, understand perspectives, and be both firm and available for their children.

 Overall, the workshop emphasized fostering open communication to create a supportive environment where every student feels valued, heard, and supported on their journey toward holistic growth.

          Conflict Resolution Workshop 

Students were apprised of social expectations and reasons for conflicts. They were given different strategies for sharing and resolving any conflicts. 

Building Bridges and creating Harmony

DPSI Emotion check-in data was shared with students who were engaged in analyzing the data. They were encouraged to build emotional resilience through strategies such as observing their thoughts and regulating them with positive self-talk, building empathy for others, using appropriate ways of communication, and responding mindfully.

 They were also given a Friendship code: Stand for each other to resolve conflicts and create a positive environment with healthy relationships.

Leadership workshop for students

The workshop focused on developing skills such as teamwork, effective communication, empathy, critical thinking, etc. that are required to be an effective leader or/and team of leaders. Students were involved in various team-building and problem-solving tasks to develop problem-solving skills by analyzing the situations, listening to others, negotiating, and accommodating others.

Mindfulness sessions based on art and dance therapy
