At Hamilton Sussex DECA, we don't just aim for success – we prepare for it. On the District level, our members have access to a comprehensive suite of resources and opportunities, designed to build confidence and sharpen skills. From various role play practices to weekly test prep, we equip our DECA competitors to not only thrive but excel. 

We offer a variety of resources and opportunities to help members prepare for competition, including:

Practice Role Play

We provide our members opportunities to enhance their role play skills with their DECA peers. This gives everyone an ability to obtain feedback, gain experience, and build confidence by running through role play structure after school and during advisory periods. This is a great way to get our members involved with our officer team to prepare them for competition.

Practice Competition

We understand that preparing our new members is critical as we are building the foundation for their future DECA success. This is why each year before Districts, we host a practice event for our freshman and new members which provides educational experience and constructive feedback to help them build necessary skills for their competitive career. This supportive environment helps guide members through the beginning of their DECA journey.

Test Prep Tuesday

Every Tuesday after school, Hamilton DECA hosts a fun test prep game where members can play review games - Kahoot, Quizlet, Blooket - and discuss with fellow members to help improve their testing ability. We know that learning, as well as understanding the material is what gives our members the confidence they need for their exams, which is why we go the extra mile to answer any questions our competitors have. 

Competition Information Meetings

There is so much more to Districts than understanding the competition aspect, whether it’s maintaining professionalism, maximizing networking opportunities, managing stress, or learning key insights from past competitors. We host multiple competition meetings where officers and advisors go over important information and offer advice to ensure our members are confident and prepared to attend districts. 

Ongoing Support

In addition to these resources, we also have a dedicated team of officers who are available to provide members with one-on-one support to prepare them for districts. 

We believe that by providing our members with the resources and support they need, we can help them achieve their full potential at the district level. As Districts approach, the energy at Hamilton Sussex DECA is visible. Our members are ready to put their preparation to the test, showcasing the knowledge and abilities they've refined throughout the year. With a strong foundation built on practice and dedication, we are confident our chapter will continue making a lasting impression.
