As the 2024-2025 DECA season starts to emerge, chapters from all over the country are looking for new ways to improve competition prep and ensure strong exam scores during Districts and State. Hamilton Sussex’s Test Prep Tuesday has been a great way to gain knowledge about your exam category and try practice questions!

Every Tuesday after school, dozens of DECA members meet up to work through practice problems and gain a better grip on the challenging exams that DECA has to offer. Test Prep Tuesday is led primarily by our chapter officers, who work diligently to provide the chapter with fun and interactive ways to learn about the business industry such hosting Kahoots, Blookets, trivia games, and other various activities. 

These entertaining prep methods keep our chapter engaged while guaranteeing that we do the absolute best we can during Districts, State, and ICDC. Showing up to test prep is also a great way to earn points for our chapter. Hamilton Sussex DECA is run on a point system where members can gain points for competition prep, supporting fundraisers, and doing community service. We have found that having a reward system such as gaining points keeps members motivated to be active members in our chapter.

In the past, our chapter has also posted daily exam questions on Hamilton DECA’s Instagram, @decahamilton. A business related question would be posted, and there would be a poll to choose between a few answers. After answering, the user would be able to see the correct response, as well as an explanation. This has been an easy and convenient way to make sure our chapter gets daily competition prep at home!
