Weathered Rock Farm was established in 2016 when we moved to a beautiful piece of Milton countryside. Erin is a self-proclaimed rock hugger, and Mark is fascinated with soil health. So naturally, we wanted to name the farm to reflect both our interests. We chose Weathered Rock Farm because soils are largely comprised of weathered rock and weathered limestone rocks line our field edges.
We grow what we love and are proud of the quality cut flowers, garlic and honey we produce. We do it in a way that protects soil health, water quality and wildlife habitat.

From our 150 year old farm in Sayers Mills (North Milton), Ontario, we take pride in our process, crafting rustic and pure small-batch cider with no extra additives.
Hex 1847 Cider Inc. began in 2020, intending to create a crisp, dry, and refreshing cider using only the essential ingredients. We use Ontario apples, as well as maple syrup, birch syrup, honey, and other ingredients from our farm to create various unique cider flavours.
Our cider is brewed inside a 6-sided building, which we call “The Hex”, located in a historic mill community founded in 1847. Combining the two prominent features of our farm, a brand was formed to match the rustic heritage of rural Halton.

The JC Cattle Co is a group of three ambitious farmers who saw an opportunity to grow a sustainable farming business. We are in our third year of operation, and we joke that it all started with a trip to the city where we noticed a growing need for local, quality beef. From there we purchased two purebred first calf heifers, and that's how our cattle addiction started.
Our goal has always been to foster a strong connection between consumers and their food by encouraging them to know their farmer. Through community engagement, we strive to educate our customers about the importance of sustainable farming practices and the benefits of choosing high-quality, locally sourced beef for their families.

Briskit BBQ began in 2010 as a humble mom-and-pop shop founded by Ed and Elaine, longtime Georgetown residents with a passion for good food and great community. After years of building a loyal following, they proudly opened a full sit-down restaurant to better serve the town they’ve called home for over 25 years.
Briskit BBQ is all about comfort, flavour, and family. With Ed’s deep experience in authentic barbecue—from smoked brisket to fall-off-the-bone ribs—and Elaine’s heart for hospitality, the restaurant has grown into a local favourite.
Whether you’re dining in, ordering from the food truck, or booking catering for your next event, Briskit BBQ brings home-style meals with a Southern twist to every table. You’ll also find us supporting local organizations, food fairs, and festivals across the region—because serving the community is at the heart of everything we do.

Vintage Acton was started by local historian Scott Brooks, on February 28th, 2017, out of a need to provide online access to Acton, Ontario's rich and diverse history through photos and stories - all in one place, starting out on Facebook and later on Instagram.
Even though Acton is a small community within Halton Hills, it holds a large Historical and Cultural significance within the Region, the Province, and even across Canada.
Since starting Vintage Acton, Scott Brooks, Manager & Curator of Vintage Acton, continues his mission to share Acton's history through photos, videos, and events in a unique and passionate way, so that local history will be preserved and shared for the present and future generations.
The majority of Vintage Acton's photos and historical information is from the Dills Collection, Acton's largest historical collection, a legacy of the late Dave & Kay Dills who were once owners of the newspaper The Acton Free Press under their company Dills Printing & Publishing Limited. Since their passing, Scott is honoured to be the caretaker of the Dills Collection, and continues to actively share many historical items from this collection, whether that be online (Facebook, Instagram & YouTube), in publications, on display, or through an in-person tour or presentation.

As we move forward, we are refining the hospice design to reflect our community’s needs while remaining financially achievable. In response to rising construction costs, this includes a more efficient footprint that will maintain the highest standards of care while keeping our fundraising goal within reach. With the property secured at Trafalgar Road and 5 Side Road in Georgetown, we are working with skilled architects to plan a space that is both functional and compassionate, bringing us closer to serving families with dignity and support.
