Class overview

In BSI (Basic Skills Instruction), students work in small groups for 30 minutes at a time, focusing on the Spanish reading and writing skills they need most. Using the Aprendo Leyendo curriculum, we practice important skills like letter sounds, phonics, decoding, reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing.

Our lessons include lots of modeling, practice, repetition, and hands-on activities to help students strengthen their skills and feel more confident. Working in a small group gives students plenty of opportunities to participate, ask questions, and receive individual support and feedback.

Our goal is to help every student become a more confident, capable, and independent Spanish reader and writer!
