Diamond DelRosso
School Psychologist/ Case Manager
As a school psychologist, I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for students to thrive academically and emotionally. With a background in psychology and education, I specialize in assessing students' needs and implementing effective interventions. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, ensuring that each child receives personalized support tailored to their unique circumstances. I work collaboratively with teachers, parents/ guardians, and mental health professionals to create a holistic approach to student well-being.
I started my career as a school psychologist in 2022 with Dover Public Schools. Prior to being a school psychologist, I worked with students with different types of disabilities across multiple grade levels at an out-of-district placement for over five years. This is where my passion for supporting students academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally came to be. I earned a master's degree in clinical psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent psychology with a school psychology certification from Montclair State University in 2022.
Currently, I work with Dover Middle School special education students by conducting psychological assessments, case management, and counseling. In addition to individual assessments, case management, and counseling, promoting mental health awareness within the school community is important to me. Professionals who engage with students and are knowledgeable about their mental health requirements play a crucial role in creating a secure, supportive, and empathetic atmosphere. This environment enables students to learn effectively and achieve their full potential.
Charnelle Rivera
Speech Language Pathologist/ Case Manager
With over two decades of experience as a speech-language pathologist, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals develop their communication skills and confidence. I earned my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Long Island University, NY, in 2001. My professional journey has taken me through diverse settings before joining Dover School, including a private school for children with multiple disabilities, Early Intervention, and pediatric rehabilitation.
I specialize in conducting evidence-based speech and language evaluations and therapy for individuals with Autism, Down syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities, speech/articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, social language needs, and stuttering. My passion lies in supporting those with language disabilities and empowering them to become effective communicators. Nothing brings me greater joy than witnessing my students gain confidence in their abilities.
When I’m not expanding vocabulary and fine-tuning listening skills, I’m expanding my baking skills (and my family’s sweet tooth), soaking up the sun like it’s my full-time job in the Summer, and engaging in the daily extreme sport of keeping my teenage kids alive (parenting level: expert).
