Thank you for your support of the arts in Jacksonville, Florida! The Douglas Anderson School of the Arts Band Boosters, Inc. is asking you to consider purchasing space in our 2019-2020 Program book. Your ad will be seen by an average of 300 concert attendees at each of five separate band concerts during the school year!
Douglas Anderson School of the Arts (DA) is a Duval County Public School for students in grades 9-12 with a desire for intensive study in the arts. Why contribute? We are a public school with limited funding. Band Boosters is a non-profit 501(c)3, parent-driven organization that raises money for the band program. We support many musical opportunities for our students and our programs have grown faster than our school system budget. This year’s expected program expenses including music, instruments, uniforms, special instruction, and travel exceed $175,000 while our allocated budget from the school district varies between $500 and $2,000. This year, our Wind Symphony achieved the prestigious honor of being invited to perform as a featured ensemble at the Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our travel expenses will exceed $1300 per student in this 50-member group, and we need everyone to participate!
As a top-ranked academic AND arts high school, DA’s history of recognition on the national level includes: listing in both Newsweek and the Washington Post as one of the nation’s Best Academic High Schools, honor as a 2016 GRAMMY Gold School, National Winner of the 2017 National Band Association Programs of Excellence Blue Ribbon Award, 2018 winner of the Swing Central Jazz competition, co-winner of the performing arts high school division of the 2019 Downbeat Magazine Student Music Awards for our Jazz I ensemble, and 2006 winner of the “Essentially Ellington” High School Jazz Band Competition at Lincoln Center. To ensure your ad makes it into our band program and your student received proper credit to their band account, all artwork, payment, and forms must be submitted or delivered by the end of the day, Monday September 16, 2019. Due to the program book print schedule, no late ads can be accepted.
As a business, your purchase is for advertising space in our program book that will be seen by 300+ patrons at each of five of our season concerts. As a parent, family member, or community member, you may buy any size space to relay your own personal message.
Available spaces are: full page, half page, quarter page (business card size), and personal message spaces. Size specifications and prices are illustrated. Please click the image to view larger size.
You may buy your ad online by completing the order form below. PayPal payments may be made online at the time of purchase. Cash or a check for the amount made out to Douglas Anderson Band Boosters may be returned by your student salesperson to the program coordinator to ensure proper credit.
Artwork may be uploaded using the order form. You may also submit artwork separately by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
You may alternatively return the order form below along with cash or a check for the amount made out to Douglas Anderson Band Boosters. All materials including the form, payment, and camera-ready hard copy ad artwork must be delivered to Douglas Anderson School of the Arts Band, as detailed on the form.
For those who use the paper form to buy an ad, you may also submit by emailing in camera-ready .pdf or .jpg format to the Program Coordinator at email@example.com.
