The Douglas Anderson School of the Arts offers a number of ensembles intended for student growth and extraordinary musical experiences. These ensembles include:

Individual musical development is an essential part of the DA Band Program. In addition to large group performances, all students are required to participate in district and state solo and ensemble assessment. Participation in brass quintet, saxophone quartets, clarinet choir, percussion ensembles and various other wind ensembles provides students with opportunities to experience chamber music performance. All woodwind and brass students participate in weekly studio class with our guest faculty comprised of instrumental professionals from around northeast Florida.

Numerous students are selected each year for participation in the FBA District 17 Honor Band and the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra. Additionally, DA band students are consistently selected for the Florida All-State Bands and Orchestras each year (averaging 24 per year).
