Finance Trainee (IEFP)

About the role/responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the main responsibilities include, but are not limited to (depending on how much you want to take your hands on) :

  • Month-end close and relationship with accountants / accounting team

  • Own the accounting processes and its quality

  • Month-end reporting and budget analysis;

  • Bank reconciliations;

  • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivables processes (e.g. aging of clients’ invoices)

  • Procurement control & analysis

  • Cost analysis

  • Feedback and suggestions for process improvement



Profile and experiences

  • “I solve it” attitude and “Never settle” spirit;

  • Willingness to learn and maybe follow a career in Finance

  • Rigour and attention to detail;

  • Analytical skills and critical judgement

  • Ability to manage priorities in a constantly changing environment; and do things that don’t scale

  • Strong teamwork capacity and sense of responsibility.

  • Entrepreneurial and hands-on spirit;

  • SQL knowledge (preferred but not mandatory).


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor in Management, Economics, Accounting or similar;



Eligible for an IEFP internship

  • Porto, Lisbon or Remote.
