In 2019, the school district established a communication plan in an effort to engage the Knoxville community into all the positive happenings within its schools. As part of these efforts, the district is committed to providing school leaders and staff with the tools, resources and media training they need to communicate with their stakeholders as seamlessly and effectively as possible.

As a school or district leader, you will find yourself communicating about many different issues, events and milestones. Driving our efforts, however, are several key messages we want our school and district communities to know and understand about the Knoxville Community School District.
Good messages are simple but profound, and are best addressed to specific stakeholders with the intention of capturing their imagination. Below are the school district's key messages, as outlined in our Communications Plan:
