You have enrolled on Film & TV Level 3 Diploma! This course will help you develop all the skills you are going to need when working in the industry; so if you are ready to see what its like behind the cameras, lights and set pieces and are passionate about making top quality content in video form, then this course is for you!

This web page has been designed to keep all of the induction activities we will be doing online in one single easy to navigate place!

You will have 15 minute breaks every 1.5 hours and an hour for lunch starting at 12:00pm-13:00pm.

Teams

We are using Microsoft teams as our main, virtual learning environment. At college Teams will already be installed, however you should also install this software on your home computer/ phone/ tablet to ensure that you can connect with us online throughout the course of the year, here at college. Meet your Microsoft team page:

You will be added to this page with your Doncaster College details either this week or next. This will be the main page you should visit at the start of each lesson in order to receive all of the information you will need for the lesson.

Office 365/ Outlook/ Onedrive

As a student at the college you will also have full access to Office 365, installing these on your home/ personal devices is also a good idea so you have full access to all of the office software's like Word, PowerPoint etc, Outlook, OneDrive.

Meet your course website!

This is our custom website containing all the L3 Diploma and Extended Diploma courses we deliver here in creative media production. This website is managed by your tutors and is updated weekly live. It contains your lessons and all the resources we will be delivering to you on a daily/ weekly basis. You will get links to this site through your Microsoft team page, but is an all round great place to bookmark on your browser (ctrl+d) in college and home to have fast access to!

Course Structure:

Here are the assignments you will be doing this year - you can find them organised in your microsoft team page and also your website. These assignments will cover :

Unit 1-8 of the Diploma units. These need to be completed at key intervals throughout the year. The deadlines of these projects will be found in your Microsoft team page under assignments and also on your assignment briefs handed out throughout the year.

Course Contract

We are going to build our own class contract to ensure we can all agree and follow along. We will write down ideas on the whiteboard and discuss our thoughts before we more onto putting it on paper and signing it.

Have only bottled water in the classroom and workshop areas, no other drinks or food.

If you have any concerns or issues, please tell a tutor.
You attend College every day. If you cannot attend you will inform the college by contacting the absence line and your course tutor.

You can use these corridors and rooms to your advantage and you may work in teams if you wish but you all need to have footage on your phone.
