Fall 2026 Cycle

Fall 2026 - Year 4

This begins the first full cycle of bachelor’s degree development. Colleges starting new programs or expanding into existing offerings in Fall 2025 are encouraged to wait for future cycles to add additional programs to provide adequate time and support for implementation efforts related to Fall 2025 programs. 

Colleges considering a proposal should review success metrics in any current bachelor’s programs and refer to the 3 to 5-year plan for guidance.

Key Components:

• 20+ weeks proposal open

• 9 months of curriculum design and substantive change

• 8 months lead for priority registration for HLC approval/ED PPA process

• After this year colleges will be able to offer no more than ten percent of their total number of degree and certificate offerings for baccalaureate degrees
