Technology is a key factor in making the workplace efficient and productive for employees. It is the goal of the Dougherty County School system Information Technology Department to provide employees with the hardware and software they need to be innovative and collaborative in their tasks. In addition, the technology provided by the DCSS is intended to help employees to communicate effectively with each other, the students, and the community.

Google Help
G Suite is a set of web-based messaging and collaboration applications that Google hosts on its own servers. Google provides these applications as a service, rather than as software to download and install. To access G Suite, you simply use a web browser on a computer that's connected to the Internet or your smart device.
Device Deployment
The IT Department is excited to begin refreshing our student devices by deploying Dell Chromebooks and Apple iPads in our schools. These devices were chosen because they are easy to use for both students and teachers, shareable between students, and cost effective. Prior to deploying in any school, teachers will participate in a device orientation and students will be shown a video or read an eBook on device care. All students will agree to our digital citizenship agreement.
ClassLink
ClassLink is our solution for remembering the many usernames and passwords used for digital resources in our classrooms and offices. It is a one click, single sign-on launchpad for everything students and employees need to work anywhere, on any device, with just one password.
