Welcome to
Sage Canyon School
Sage Canyon School
I grew up in Long Island, NY, and moved to Rhode Island to attend the University of Rhode Island, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Child Development & Family Studies and Elementary Education. In 2011, I relocated to sunny San Diego to pursue my master’s degree and credential in Special Education at the University of San Diego. After graduating, I began my career at Aseltine School, a non-public school in San Diego.
For the past 9 years, I have served as the Education Specialist in the upper Core Content Instructional classroom at Ashley Falls. After welcoming my second child, I am thrilled to rejoin the Del Mar Union School District and begin my first year at Sage Canyon as an Education Specialist in the Learning Lab. I couldn’t be more excited for the year ahead!
I am passionate about teaching, especially in the special education setting where I have found my true niche. I believe every child is unique and learns in their own way. My role as a teacher is to help each student discover and celebrate their individuality while supporting them to reach their fullest potential.
I value hands-on, creative learning experiences that engage students actively. My goal is to build a community of learners who work hard, have fun, and feel confident applying their knowledge to real-life situations. I strive to create a classroom environment where students feel challenged, inspired, and accepted.
Together, we will embark on a year full of growth, discovery, and adventure. I look forward to a successful school year where every student feels valued and motivated to learn.
