Welcome to EthiKomiks

What is EthiKomiks

EthiKomiks is an interactive, audio-visual pedagogical device for teaching and learning Ethics. It seeks to provide a holistic understanding of different ethical concepts and theories through the use of storytelling and short vignettes in komiks form.

Ethics is part of the general education curriculum mandated by the Philippines' Commission on Higher Education (CHEd). It aims to introduce students to the philosophical study of the grounds of morality. (See CHEd's sample syllabus.)

Who is EthiKomiks for

EthiKomiks is for teachers and students of Ethics, or for anyone interested in learning about the philosophical foundations of morality.

How to you use EthiKomiks

EthiKomiks is primarily a teaching supplement that can be used by Ethics teachers. Each komiks may be used as an icebreaker to the lesson or a point of discussion for students.

Since it is made to be a teaching supplement or tool, EthiKomiks does not provide an exhaustive discussion of any of the topics in the Ethics course. It should also not be treated as a primary reference.

General Directions

  • Once you click on the desired komiks below, you will be led to a landing page.

  • After downloading, open the komiks in MS PowerPoint and click the Slide Show button.

  • Then you are on your way.
