VISION
With a vision to ‘Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators’, Atal Innovation Mission established Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in schools across India. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.
ATL is a workspace where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode; and learn innovation skills. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). ATL would contain educational and learning ‘do it yourself’ kits and equipment on – science, electronics, robotics, open-source microcontroller boards, sensors and 3D printers and computers. Other desirable facilities include meeting rooms and video conferencing facility

Dreams come true ; it is said when you work hard enough to achieve them.
ATL provides a workspace for young minds to give shape to their ideas and wings to their imagination by learning STEM concepts with a Do - It - Yourself approach.
The pioneering initiative sure will pull the Indian education system out of the shackles of age - old methodologies and seek to encourage and mentor students to create and build 'out of the box' opportunities with a solution- oriented approach to learning
Dear Children, when i see you absorbed in the gadgets while in the ATL lab with the aim of creating something new or when you collaborate in the learning to utilize your potential effectively, I remember John Keats, who said " my imagination is a monastery and I am its Monk"

In an endeavor to inculcate and develop innovative skills among students, D.L.D.A.V Model School inaugurated ‘Atal tinkering Lab’ in school premises on 29 August 2018 under the aegis of Atal Innovation Mission, Niti Aayog. The Lab was inaugurated by Mr. Deepanshu, Expert, Atal Innovation Mission and Sh. Shrideep Omchery, Chairman of the school. The occasion was graced by members of LMC ,Alumni and Principals of DAV institutions.
It was indeed a proud moment as the school was one of the 1500 schools selected for installation of ATL. The lab contains educational and Do-it-yourself Kits and equipment's including microcontroller boards,3D printer, Sensors, STEM Kits etc which will help students to explore new spheres.
The project showcase during inauguration included 3-D printing, innovative ideas which can be beneficial for community. Young innovators from the school exhibited various projects such as Voice controlled Bluetooth Car, Auto taps, Prosthetic arm etc. aimed at solving community based problems. The guests interacted with students to understand the motive behind designing of projects .
The efforts of students were appreciated by all the guests attending the ceremony. An interaction session was organized for the guests and the students. The interaction between guests and students encouraged them to develop their skills and aim to design for community.
