About Your Coach

Mrs. JoLynn Plato is entering her 33rd year in the teaching. She has taught K-8 in general education, instructional technology, ELA, math, science, intervention, and enrichment. Along with her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, she has a Master's degree in Curriculum, Technology, and Education Reform, as well as one in Educational Leadership (administration). She has also completed doctoral work, focusing on educational technology. JoLynn is the instructional coach at Sheridan Elementary. This allows her to help teachers implement the district curriculum. Having coached volleyball and track at the junior high level, as well as trained teachers in various ways throughout her career, she is really excited for this opportunity to support and encourage her colleagues. On a personal note, she has been happily married to her husband, Scott, for thirty-two years. Their family includes two grown boys and two Yorkies, all of whom keep them on their toes! As is obvious from this site, she loves the Apple TV series Ted Lasso, particularly enjoying the character of Roy Kent.
