The PLTW Aerospace Engineering course is one of the specialization courses in the PLTW Engineering sequence. This course propels students’ learning in the fundamentals of both atmospheric and space flight. As they explore the physics of flight, students bring the concepts to life through activities that including designing an airfoil and flyable glider. Students will also understand the basics of navigation as they fly a Cessna 172 in the flight simulator software. In our space unit, students gain an understanding of basic orbital mechanics, space flight technology and design and develop robotic systems including fly-by wire systems and ROVs.
