Dear Diamond Lake School Families,
Parent Pick-Up Procedures
Please make sure to notify the school office (not the classroom teacher) if your child’s pick-up plans change. All pick-up requests must be made before 1:30 pm so we can ensure a smooth and safe dismissal for all students.
Paw Points
Students at Diamond Lake School can earn Paw Points every day. They receive points for attending school (one point each day they are present), being safe, acting responsibly, and showing respect throughout the day. Each week, classes have the chance to visit our Cub Store, where students can redeem their points for fun rewards.
Students can choose prizes like lunch with a teacher, breakfast in the office with Ms. Flores and Ms. Gonzalez, lunch with the principal, or even a visit to our treasure chest. Be sure to ask your child how many Paw Points they earned today!
Bus Bulletin via Lakeside Transportation
Please sign up for bus bulletin notifications from Lakeside Transportation. During the upcoming season you will be notified if buses are running behind schedule. Click the link here to ensure you know when your bus is running late.
Parent Engagement Survey
Please take a moment to complete the Parent Engagement Survey. Your feedback helps us continue building an even better experience for you and your family. We truly appreciate hearing from you—your input allows us to celebrate what’s going well and identify areas where we can continue to grow. Thank you for your time and partnership!
It's getting chilly!
As the temperatures begin to fall, please make sure your child comes to school with warm winter clothing. We will continue to go outside for recess each day unless the weather is extremely cold or rainy. When there is snow on the ground, students will need a hat or hood, a warm jacket, gloves, snow pants, and boots in order to play in the snow. If you are in need of these supplies please reach out to Sami Calderon (scalderon@dist76.org) or the DLS office for support.
Every day at DLS matters! We are continuing to work toward improving our attendance at DLS. Please reach out if you need any help supporting your child’s attendance or if there is anything we can do to partner with your family. We are here to help and want to ensure every student is set up for success each day.
Keep shining and #SparkleOn,
Mrs. Sunny Morley
Principal, Diamond Lake School

Be sure to check out our Scholastic Book Fair on Monday, November 24th during Parent Teacher Conferences. Diamond Lake School (DLS) will be hosting the fair in their Innovation Center and we encourage all families to browse the great selection of both English and Spanish books provided along with writing journals and classroom favorites. Staff members at DLS have also created wishlists and/or virtual wallets that families are welcome to contribute to. On behalf of the DLS staff, we thank you for your generosity and kindness.
