Our Jazz Band students did a great job at their Jazz in the Gym event!
We had over 40 8th graders participate in the College of Lake County's career exploration event.

Mid-Terms: Our 3rd trimester mid-terms will be sent out via email today. Please contact the office if you have any questions or you do not receive your child's mid-term.
Next Weekend: There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, April 18 or Monday, April 21 in observance of Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Summer Band Camp: Our annual West Oak Summer Band will be held at West Oak Middle School from Monday, June 16th - Wednesday, July 2nd. This will be available for students that will be in grades 5th through 7th grade next fall and will meet daily from 12:30 PM - 3:05 PM. Here is the calendar with additional information. Please complete this Form for your child to be part of this amazing enrichment camp! The fee for this camp is $75.00. Cash or check is accepted and can be turned into the Main Offices of either West Oak Intermediate or West Oak Middle School.
MHS Cheerleading: Any current 8th grade students interested in being a cheerleader at Mundelein High School is invited to review the following flyers for open gym times.
Mini-Med School: We are offering our current 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students a Mini-Medical School opportunity this summer from June 9th to July 2nd. There are 30 spots available, and they are on a first enroll, first served basis. This cost-free program is sponsored by FSCS Grant from University Center of Lake County in collaboration with Rosalind Franklin University. Lunch and transportation from West Oak Middle School to the University is included. We will be leaving WOMS each day at 11:30am and arriving at the University Center to have lunch, and then having classes from 1 pm to 3:30pm. Students will then be transported back to their homes around 4:00pm. At the end of the program students will have a graduation ceremony and receive a diploma. Here is the Form that was shared with students this week. If you would like for them to be part of this amazing opportunity you are able to sign them up as well.
OMNI Resources: OMNI Behavioral Health Services is offering a resource for the community, including assistance with SNAP benefit applications, unemployment applications, utility assistance, and more. For additional details, please refer to this flyer for more information.

D76 CARES: At D76, the well-being of our students and families is our top priority. Understanding the critical role mental health plays in student success, we have launched D76 CARES - a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving access to quality mental health services across our community. D76 CARES stands for Community, Advocacy, Resilience, Engagement, and Support. Treatment services are initially provided free of charge to district families for up to 8 sessions. Summer School Registration: Summer Exploration Camp is filling up quickly! This year we look forward to offering summer learning opportunities to D76 students who are entering Kindergarten-8th Grade in August of 2025. Our Summer Exploration Camp is a fun way for students to engage in different activities, build relationships, socialize with their peers, and continue to develop academic skills.
