Need to Know
No School: There is no school on Monday, January 20, 2025 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
On January 29, 2025 Smile Dentist will be coming to West Oak Campus. If your child is in need of a check up and dental cleaning, this service is available. Click HERE to register.
Lost and Found: We know how easily items can get misplaced at school! To help reunite belongings with their owners, the WOIS Student Council created THIS slideshow of all currently unclaimed items. If you recognize anything that belongs to your child and need support in retrieving the item, please reach out to their teacher.
Dress for the Weather: The cold weather has arrived! Please be sure to send your child to school dressed for the outdoors. Even on chilly days, we encourage outdoor play as long as the weather permits. We will have indoor recess if the real feel is less than 15 degrees.
Contact Information: Your classroom teacher should be your first point of contact. Yet, for building related information, please call the front office at 847-970-3544 or contact the following individuals via email:

D76 Community Engagement and Growth
Thursday, January 30th 5:00-7:00 pm at DLS is our winter Family Night. This month we will be honoring National Poodle Day! Officially celebrated on January 6th, we will be coming together with Canines4Comfort and some of Princess Polly’s best friends to engage in reading with dogs, arts and crafts, and treats for both dogs and families! All grade levels are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!
Here’s the latest with our girl, Princess Polly, and her race to become America’s Favorite Pet. The ballot remains open! What started as a competition between 64 dogs has now been cut down to 20. The top 20 dogs have made it to the next round. Never fear, our girl made it, but we still need to cast our daily votes. Votes will continue to accumulate and for approximately the next three weeks another 5 dogs will be eliminated each week resulting in the top 15, top 10, and the final top 5. When our girl makes it to the top 5, she and I will be interviewed by America’s Favorite Pet, and we will have the opportunity to tell our story and how she sparkles as a part of the D76 family, but we have to make it to the top 5 first! Click HERE for a very special message from one of our sponsors. 😉😉
Need a visual reminder? No problem! Feel free to print out THIS awesome poem and hang it by your computer or on your fridge as a reminder. Thank you to poet Griffin Hill, 4th Grade Teacher at WOIS, for this special message. Click HERE to vote!
