Fremont Library: The Fremont Library visited West Oak Intermediate this past week during students' library time. They shared information about the different programs that they offer. Please visit the Fremont Library website if you are interested in learning more about these different programs. They also talked about the book "Esperanza Rising" by Pam Munoz Ryan with the 5th graders. There is a world premiere production of Esperanza Rising at First Stage Children's Theater in Milwaukee if your family is interested.
Stevenson Summer Singer Camp: Discover the joy of singing with our Stevenson Summer Singers! Designed for incoming 3rd - 5th grade singers of all experience levels, this camp offers a fun and supportive environment to explore your voice and sing as part of a dynamic vocal group. Led by our talented Stevenson vocal faculty, each session is filled with engaging activities that build vocal skills, foster creativity, and celebrate the magic of group singing. No prior experience is needed - just bring your enthusiasm and love for music! The camp will culminate in a special performance for families on the final day, showcasing everything participants have learned and accomplished together. Field Day: As the school year draws to a close, we will be hosting this year's Field Day on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 9:15 AM to 12:00 PM.
To ensure a successful and engaging event for our students, we are in need of some parent volunteers to assist and support the activity stations. Each volunteer will be assigned to a specific station and will be responsible for facilitating the designated activity or game as classes rotate throughout the event. At the end of Field Day, volunteers will also be needed to help return the equipment to the gymnasium.
If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please complete the volunteer form by clicking HERE on/by Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Selected volunteers will be notified via email on Friday, May 2, 2025.
Please email Mr. Larz Campbell, WOIS PE Teacher, at lcampbell@dist76.org with questions. Thank you in advance for your continued support and partnership.
Registration: Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is open! Families should have received a snap code through the email we have on record. If you did not receive one please contact the office.

We look forward to offering summer learning opportunities to D76 students who are entering Kindergarten-8th Grade in August of 2025. Our Summer Exploration Camp is a fun way for students to engage in different activities, build relationships, socialize with their peers, and continue to develop academic skills.
